All courses are led by Yurai, a DJ with over 20 years of experience behind the decks. His journey has taken him from underground Trance and Techno clubs across Europe to major festivals and luxury rooftop venues.
With a friendly and supportive teaching style, he'll guide you toward the skills and confidence you need to succeed—no matter where you want to play or which genre you love.
From track selection and music curation to mixing techniques, technical knowledge, and the art of facilitating transformative events, you'll gain practical skills backed by real-world experience.
Yurai is also the founder of Epicure Ecstatic Dance, one of Sydney's leading ecstatic dance communities, and Lucid Gate, an immersive experience designed to guide people on a deep journey of self-discovery.
Who are you?
Beginner
Get people to deeply relax and balance their nervous system.
Sound healing is a sacred practice revolving around use of crystal sound bowls and other instruments - and often your voice.
And how is it working? Well, we are living in a world full of frequencies and vibrations. When we are "out of tune", we can feel it. Sound healing helps people to re-balance and get them on the "right vibration". Same as the music - some is agressive, some soothing, some energetic. In a short amount of time, it can change your mood. Same is true for sound healing, which is going even deeper to your system.

bedroom Dj
Ecstatic Dance might feel a little bit different from normal party, but the foundations are the very same. In short - we play, people dance
But... Dancers have more space to move and express themselves.
The Dj sets are usually 1.5hr and they are structured differently from classic Dj sets. The flow and energy is going in waves - from slow to more energetic and then again down.
Ecstatic Dj Set can have more than one wave and usually more than one genre is played. Everything in the way that the flow is seamless and dancers are on a journey.
How to do this?
It's a great question and we can answer that!

drumming
Drums are the beating heart of Epicure, it's what it bring it to life. Adding layer of rhythm and live element.
Also of importance historically when the drums were the only way to keep the rhythm and sometime they were the only instrument playing.
Deeply captivating, the repetitive sound could lead to Trance like sensations, where you feel in the flow.
We can't simply imagine Epicure without them and we are very proud we have the best drummers from Sydney participating and enriching our ecstatic dances.

Meet your teachers
Yurai
Yurai is the founder of Epicure, an ecstatic dance facilitator and DJ with more than 20 years of experience behind the decks.
Throughout his career, he has played in almost every imaginable setting — from small underground clubs and luxury rooftop bars to large-scale festivals and community gatherings. Years spent exploring different genres, crowds and dance floors gave him a deep understanding of music, energy and the way sound can influence human experience.
After two decades in music, he discovered what he considers the most fulfilling expression of DJing: Ecstatic Dance.
Today, Yurai creates immersive musical journeys designed to help people reconnect with themselves, express freely and experience the transformative power of movement.
His sets blend organic, tribal, electronic and world music influences, carefully crafted to guide participants through a wide range of emotions and states of being.
As a mentor, he teaches not only the technical aspects of DJing, but also the art of reading a room, creating emotional journeys, facilitating transformation through music and holding space for authentic human expression.
His mission is to help others use music, movement and sound as tools for connection, healing and positive change.
Miray
Miray is a ceremonial space holder and sound practitioner, gently weaving together elements of shamanic healing, energy work, Acutonics, Reiki, and sound-based practices through an intuitive, embodied, and grounded approach.
Through sound, frequency, and presence, she opens subtle yet powerful spaces where the nervous system softens, the mind quiets, and the body begins to trust its own rhythm again.
Working with instruments such as singing bowls and Acutonics, alongside voice activation and intuitive expression, her sessions unfold as a living field where sound is not only heard, but deeply felt.
Her work invites a gentle return to self where healing is not forced, but allowed to emerge naturally.
At times, she invites the voice into the space — not as something to perfect, but as something to remember: a natural channel for release, expression, and inner alignment.
Her approach integrates breathwork, somatic awareness, and subtle energy work, supporting grounding, emotional release, and deeper embodiment.
